I started to use Click to DVD, but I only may store 45 min. to DVD, because of may HD free space (10GB at C and 10 GB at D). I tried to use an HD in other network PC, for example to capture video (you may setup at setting) but is it not possible. How may I use other disk for capture or processing?

I purchased a 120 gig drive for just over $100, installed that as a 2nd hard drive, and set Click to DVD to capture/work on that drive. Works like a charm...I just did a 3.5 hour capture from vcr (via my Sony digital8 camcorder) and only uses 40 of the 120 gig.
I would think that trying to do this to a network drive (if it even lets you) would make a slow process even more painfully slow. SteveH happy RS100 owner |

The problem is I'm using a laptop Vaio, and is not so easy to install a new Hard Disk. I tried to use the a network drive, but is slow and after some hours, the system send an error message.

Try getting an external firewire harddrive and get a firewire external case yourself and put in a big harddrive in it. That's your only option unless you want to swap out your old hard drive for a bigger one. Then you will have to reformat the drive and install back on the softwares/programs....that's a pain.

I've had a similar problem. But for just 40 mins of footage, and after waiting hours for the click to dvd program to create chapters and write whatever files that were needed, I then got a message saying 'not enough HD space for the temporary file!!!!
But the laptop has 60G hd size (well, 30G +30G on partitioned drives) Am I wrong to leave the quality button on the click to dvd program at 'high' maybe??? |
