I am getting ERRORCODE 10. Any clues?

I have reinstalled my OS and reformatted the drives, but for some reason I am getting sporadic firewire performance. It happened with my digital audio interface and now it is happening with a brand-new drive. Any ideas for how to completely reset my FW bus? Or, a new driver for it? Totally lost on this one... Thanks
