You can try a couple of other things...one, try and find the EU equivalent vaio and see if the EU ftp site has a bios update (again, see link at top for EU support) and try that update...two, run something like belarc or sisandra on your machine, find out what mobo it has, and try the OEM bios update if one exists...but, do the second option at your own risk, it's possible (and in some cases likely) that Sony has coded certain features into the original OEM bios, or had the OEM build custom stuff, and updating w/ a non-Sony approved bios may cause some things not to function as they once did. Outside of those two options, not much you can do... Chris
