Here is a break down on most Vaio Notebooks.
I am doing this from memory so I might be a little wrong on number of screws or exact location of screws.
Do this at your own risk do not blame *me for any mistakes that might occur.
When removing HD from HD cable always pull straight out to prevent bending the HD pins.
F and FX series notebooks:
You will see a screw (Some F series might have two screws) located on the left side of the unit by the LCD hinge.
Remove this screw then slide the housing to the right and lift up. Under the housing you will see one screw that holde the keyboard remove this screw and lift the keyboard and disconnect then remove.
There will be four screws holding the HD case to the motherboard remove them then lift housing up and out.
Four more screws hold the HD to the housing remove them then disconnect drive from HD cable.
SRX series:
Remove the two screws on the bottom holding the HD cover to the bottom chassy. Remove the remaining two screws holding the HD to the bottom housing. Disconnect the HD cable.
SR series:
Remove the six screws located in the front portion of the bottom housing. Lift the palm rest up and disconnect the touchpad from the motherboard.
Remove the four screws holding the HD to the motherboard.
Remove the four screws from the HD housing chassy and disconnect the HD cable.
GR and GRX series are very simple since you have a removable drive.
Just remove the drive then remove the four screws holding the HD to the housing.
