If you have run any updates to Internet Explorer there is a Repair Function available to you if you start noticing any "Microsoft Moments".
History wise the "native" version of Interent Explorer by Operating System is:
Win98: IE4.X
Win98se: IE5.0x
WinMe/Win2k: IE5.5x
WinXp: IE6.x
If you have "updated" IE beyond their native installs...
You should have a Repair Option available to you that you can access by:
Going into My Control Panel/ Add/Remove Programs/Microsoft Internet Explorer X.x and Internet Tools...
Hit the add/remove button and you will be given the choice to "add component", "REPAIR" or
"restore to previous version"(which will take you back to the version of IE you had before any updating)
You should also be able to access the Repair Option by
Going to Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Information/Tools/Internet Explorer Repair Tool
Thirdly... ta da:
You can run the reinstall of the latest downloaded version of IE by:
Going into My Computer/
C drive (or whatever drive the OS is on)
Look for the folder called: "Windows Update Setup Files"
Open this folder and look for the IE setup.exe and run it.
These "fixes" really do help if as I mentioned your browser starts developing those "Microsoft Moments"...
