1. Initial Vaio screen shows up
2. "Please wait... Vaio recovery"

So i've inserted my Windows XP CD but it has no affect on the recovery loop.

I would like to create a dual boot system or run MS Virtual PC 2007. In order to do either I need an XP installation CD. My Sony VGC-RA840G only has the recovery DVD's. Does anyone know whether it's possible from these to somehow create Windows Media Centre XP installation CDs which I can then use to install another copy of Windows XP on a seperate partition or under MS Virtual PC 2007.

I don't understand these results because it says that the File Frag is 0%, and the Data Frag is 14%. I don't know how to get the Data Files to 0%
Am I missing something.

We both noticed the other day that instead of it saying that we have Media Center 2005 like it used to it now says that we have Media Center 2002. Now this is after the update that made screen savers start working again after the long existance of them not working with the ehtray issue that drove us both nuts. Has anyone else noticed this? Recently I was messing with linux and screwed up my master hdd. All the partitions were gone (mybad). So recovery from CD will be impossible. Infact I don't even have the recovery CDs as I wasn't quite aware of the feature when I got the notebook. Anyways I opted to install a clean XP Home Edition. Now I've noticed a few differences. Hopefully u guys could enlighten me a lil here.
