I want to do some simple editing; take out commericials and then watch the show on gigapocket. From reading other topics, I understand I make booklists then launch DVGate to delete the commericals. Is that correct?

To watch it on GigaPocket, do I then convert the new list back to a Videocapsule? I've successfully done that but the conversion back to a videocapsule take a long time. Is that the only or best way to do that?

to burn one recording session (one tv show)...
1) click IMPORT window on the left, find the recorded tv program file (which actually contains 3 imbedded files), click open...and it resides at the bottom ready to burn...
2) click create DVD! and the single show will record...

What format is the saved giga pocket file in? I often tape races and then clip small portions of the race to be saved as an avi or wmv file. Will I be able to use an editor on the giga pocket file to clip out small portions and save as an avi or wmv?

So I've been using the timer recording manager for several months with no problems. Tonight, I bring up the manager while a timer recording is in progress and I click on "interrupt timer recording" it asks if I'm sure, I click on "yes" and the recording stops. So far so good.

I have a PCV-RX85M

I'm having problems with the recent versions of Quicktime (6.0 and 6.3) and Power DVD (5.0).

SonicStage REPLACES the track information of EVERY SONG in ALL MY PLAYLISTS with the track information from that CD.

The "S" buttons on my keyboard (Mail, Internet, etc) worked when I got my computer, but have not worked in some time now. I'm not sure when they stopped working.

The help tells me to go to VAIO Action Setup to configure the keys, but when I click on it, I get a message saying:
"The server is not running."

What does this mean? -80 GB hard disk
-1024 MB Ram (SDRAM)
-16.1" UXGA display
-DVD+-RW drive
-Wireless LAN
Basically, this is the machine in it's high-end configuration ("The Works" from the Sony Website, then maximize every option).
